Get a Brighter Smile
Many of our services at Moore-Berry Dentistry Inc can be completed in-house, and this includes our popular teeth whitening procedure. You're sure to love the dramatic results achieved through our deep bleaching technique. Our patients have been thrilled by their new smile, which can be up to 12 shades whiter.
A Safe and Thorough Whitening Procedure
Our whitening procedure uses the application of hydrogen peroxide gel, along with a special LED light which activates the whitening agents in the gel. This shortens the procedure to just 45 minutes on your first visit.
This system removes stains on the exterior and interior of your teeth. It can get rid of stains caused by:
- Dark colored foods such as berries, beets, soy sauce or tomato sauce
- Drinking tea, coffee, dark sodas, juices or red wine
- Fluoride buildup from overexposure to fluoride in drinking water and fluoride rinses, which can cause fluorosis and eventually darken teeth
- Smoking
- Tetracycline (an antibiotic that can cause staining of permanent teeth)
The Fastest Way to Whiter Teeth
This painless process is split up into 15-minute segments. After each one, you will rinse your mouth and a fresh gel is applied. After three of these applications, you will whiten at home for 14 nights in a row then return for one more hour-long session at our office.
Caring for Your Teeth After Whitening
The pores in your teeth open up as a part of the whitening process and can remain this way up to 48 hours later. This makes your teeth more susceptible to staining during this time. There are many ways to care for your teeth after the whitening process, ensuring your white smile will last.
We recommend you wait up to 48 hours before consuming any of the dark-colored foods listed above, as they may stain your teeth. Drinking any dark liquids through a straw can also help protect from staining. Also, do not smoke, use mouthwash or brush using a dark-colored toothpaste during this 48-hour period.
