What is This Treatment?Veneers

Veneers, also called laminates, are tooth-colored, tooth-shaped shells formed from either porcelain or composite resin materials. These shells are cemented securely to the front of your natural teeth to hide any imperfections and create a blemish-free smile.

Dental laminates are not an invasive procedure and require little to no upkeep outside of your regular brushing and flossing routine. Because they are custom fitted- you choose the color, shape and size of your cosmetic laminates- they offer a dramatically enhanced, yet natural looking smile. Additionally, they are stain resistant to maintain healthy looking teeth for longer.

Getting Laminates

Meet with Dr. Brent Moore or Dr. Josh Berry:

Once you have decided, along with your dental professionals, that this is the best solution to your dental needs, you will meet with our dentist to specify the results that you want. During this meeting you will discuss the desired color, shape and size of your teeth. This will best help you achieve the perfect smile. At this time, Dr. Berry or Dr. Moore may make a cast of your teeth and mouth.

Preparing for Your New Cosmetic Treatment:

In order to prepare your teeth, a fraction of your enamel will be removed. This process is relatively pain free (local anesthetic can be used to relax patients). Usually only a fraction of the width of a hair is removed from your tooth’s enamel. This allows for a natural and more comfortable fit.

Your dentist will then make a cast of your teeth and mouth to be sent to the laboratory where your custom dental work will be crafted. It typically takes 1 to 2 weeks for these to be made and sent to our office.

Final Step: Bonding Your dental laminates:

Once we receive your laminates, you will be able to make any last minute changes to their size and shape. Once you are satisfied, your teeth will be cleaned and polished before the final bonding to the fronts of your teeth with dental cement. Once your dental works are perfectly placed, Dr. Moore or Dr. Berry will remove any excess cement and perform the finishing touches on your new smile! If needed, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled to check on placement and gums health.
